Problem Note 64562: Cognos does not connect to SAS® Federation Server 4.2 via the provided ODBC driver and you see messages regarding error HY092

A Cognos connection to SAS Federation Server 4.2 fails, and you see the following error messages in the log file created by Cognos:
ENTER: SQLGetInfo(ConnectionHandle = 0xc08110, info = SQL_OUTER_JOINS, Value=, BufferLength = 1028, StringLenPtr = 0)
EXIT: SQL_ERROR = SQLGetInfo(ConnectionHandle = 0xc08110, info = SQL_OUTER_JOINS, Value=, BufferLength = 1028, StringLenPtr = 0)
ENTER: SQLGetDiagRec(HandleType = SQL_HANDLE_DBC, Handle = 0xc08110, RecNumber = 1, SQLState = , NativeErrorPtr = 0, MessageText = , BufferLength = 512, TextLengthPtr = 0)
EXIT: SQL_SUCCESS = SQLGetDiagRec(HandleType = SQL_HANDLE_DBC, Handle = 0xc08110, RecNumber = 1, SQLState = HY092, NativeErrorPtr = -2130708341, MessageText = Invalid attribute/option identifier, BufferLength = 512, TextLengthPtr = 35)
This issue occurs under these conditions:
- You use the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Driver that is provided by the SAS® Federation Server client.
- The version number for the ODBC driver is 9403.100.22119.29796.
